香港40名建制派立法会议员13日发表联署声明指出，激进示威者非法、不负责任的破坏行为，是造成社会动荡、市民不安的主要原因，香港已经走到了一个重要关头，现阶段只有止暴制乱，支持警队执法，才能尽快恢复社会秩序。香港中律协会也发表声明，近日，香港不断出现暴力违法行为，社会安宁及公共秩序受到严重冲击，协会支持警队严正执法。
